Casting and Shooting – The Viral Factor

I was really excited as I got a chance to cast in the Viral Factor (An action movie directed by Dante Lam) where they did most of their shooting in Malaysia. The most important thing is….I will get a chance to meet my idol, Jay Chou!!! Hahahaha.. I was waiting for this as Jay made a huge remark in his previous concert here that he will be returning to Malaysia very soon..and yes he did!! They came in around May-Aug 2011.

So I went for the casting and photo shooting and was called later for shooting a week later..although I’m just a carefree/extras (keh leh feh) but I still feel proud, excited and nervous! Haha! We went to 2 different locations on the first day of shooting, we saw Nicholas Tse, Dante Lam (movie director), Chin Ka Lok (action director) and Lin Peng. I got a few role (as extras/carefree only ok…lol)
1) passerby near the market crossing the road while Nicholas drove a white car on the road;
2) a guardian waiting for their child outside the school entrance – in jeans, white shirt and blue cardigan;
3) a corporate lady walking in and out of the building or near the reception counter – in white blouse, black blazer and skirt (I was walking with a guy where he takes 1 step but I need to take 2 quick steps because he’s 190cm tall! LOL…Then I was being changed to another spot where I have to walk at the front and back of Nicholas Tse; Lin Peng. Imagine..I’m just 2 steps behind or ahead them for this scene! Hehe..) I'll try to spot myself when the movie is out!!! LOL

My second shooting a week later was in Hilton Hotel as carefree going down the escalator after their conference scene. I was in long green dress with heels..Very elegantly dressed and make up & hairdo done by their makeup artiste. Thank you! but I’m not sure if I can be spotted..because they said I’m too obviously striking that day..so I need to turn to the opposite direction from the main cast..LOL Again was a bit disappointed because I still didn’t manage to see Jay Chou..but Eason Chan and Carl Ng were there..The final shooting where I thought I will get to see Jay…but last minute changes..so I still did not manage to see him.. Well, at least I got the chance to be involved in this big production movie and being so close up with the artistes mentioned. No regrets though =)

I tried my best but too bad no pictures were taken due to the restrictions and sign of agreement. The movie will be out in January 2012! Check it out!!

It was the Prom night 2011 of the University by the Student Council having me as the advisorfor that event. Although it wasn’t a very successful one but at least everyone did put some great effort into it. Well done! (10-Sep-2011)

I think this was my first time attending a Malay wedding in a hall instead of those open house styles. It was pretty grand and everything looks beautiful. Congratulations to my colleague, Siti. (17-Sep-2011)

We had a surprise birthday party for our colleague, Amy. We got ready with all the cakes with loads of cream, masquerade masks, balloons, food etc. We then went to her flat to surprise her. She was pretty much shocked and was splat with the cream cake that we’d prepared. LOL..then the last thing we know...the flat was a mess! LOL we then need to clean up the mess. It was pretty fun though.

We are required to take some photos for the Deepavali greeting from our department so we are all dressed up in Indian costumes. Everyone looks gorgeous! Malaysian culture can be so beautiful with all races as 1 J

Chee’s birthday 12-Aug 2011

It’s like fantasy..cartoon/80s birthday theme @ Passion Road. It was my cousin’s birthday. The place looks good, food is like so so, the cakes are really cute..and yeah..expensive! from Hilton (what do u think?). As for me, I would not spend that much of money on such cakes..and with that money spend to book the venue..I can do so much other better things! Well, but anyhow, is people’s birthday though and willing to spend.

Melbourne & Sydney

After a hectic months of work, it's time for a break.
Went to the Aussieland for a holiday with my mum, dad and sis.
It was a free and easy trip. Our first stop was Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria via MAS.
It is always good to fly via standard airline than those low-cost airline (well, sometimes :P). I don't understand why other airlines are making profit but MAS was said to make a loss? Their flights are not cheap but the seats are pretty much occupied though. The in-flight meals are good too.

It was end of autumn; turning to winter. It was pretty cold when we arrived. The weather was about 9-15 degree celcius in Melbourne.

The maple leaves..covering the whole garden. Lovely view..breezy weather..

It was great to meet up with a long lost friend , Victor, from where I've once studied, University of Southern Queensland. Although it was a short meet up but I was brought to a pretty special local coffee shop
to have a sip of hot chocolate in the cold. Wondering around the Melbourne city within 2 hours. lol

A day trip to the kangaroo farm and the Phillip Island Penguins and wildlife park in Melboune. You get to feed the kangaroos. Watch the little blue penguins swimming their way home and tapping their way back to their nests. Very cute!

Bid farewell to Melbourne and we departed to Sydney via Virgin arilines. Not much difference with our Air Asia (AA) but at least they provide snacks and drinks. Not like AA where you have to pay for it. Meet up with Chee, our cousin who was there too!

Thanks to Chee who brought us to the Fish market in Darlington Harbour for the fresh seafood! We had fresh oysters, abalone, lobsters, squids, crab and more...all FRESH!!! YUMMY!

There was light festival in Sydney during our visit. Colourful ion lights light up each corner of the city and the effects of arts on the buildings. Pretty nice!

In Sdyney Harbour, we stroll along the shopping area..nice to see but it seems like things there are just far too expensive even you don't convert. If you ask me, I rather / still prefer shopping in Newcastle/London. Aww..i still miss the UK but it was a wonderful trip with family...

UNIFEST 2011

This was the 2nd time I’m helping out in a music event after Love Life Love Music in the UK. This time was the UNIFEST, a music festival which celebrates the University status for students each year. As our company is celebrating its 25th Silver Jubilee this year, we planned for a bigger UNIFEST this year round on 21st May 2011. The theme is – ‘The Rise of Rhythm’.

This time round I have more responsibility as the advisor of the event. I am very fortunate to have a group of dedicated students in organising this event and make it happen! Although sometimes the students are quite hard to deal with..their attitude! LOL….well, that’s a learning process for me though..in dealing with the hard to deal with people :P

It was a tough journey before the event. A lot of restrictions and hiccup here and there. Pending of decisions and permission especially on the sponsorships and licensing. Promotions and publicity was a tough job due to the pending of green light. Looking for artist was also a challenge as we’re targeting a 4 thousand people but the budget is limited. Fortunately, we get to call in a few pretty famous artists for this event.

We were all very worried that we will not have crowd because it was raining heavily an hour before the event. Luckily the rain gets lighter and we're seeing the crowd coming in with their raincoats on. we thought everything should be alright..but just then..Suddenly, we heard people shouting..'call ambulance!! get ambulance now!!' I was shocked!! I ran to where the voice and shouting came from..and see what has gone wrong. A student of mine, who was the student organising chairperson was lying on the floor (the grass). She fell from the stage which was 10 feet high because she did not take caution on the steps. They called the St John Ambulance which we hired for the night (well, they are suppose to be here 30minutes ago but still on their way). So I called the emergency 999 for Ambulance. At the end, the emergency Ambulance came before the St John Ambulance (which came after we send the patient off to the hospital). Luckily she was not seriously injured.

The lined up artistes are Mizz Nina, One Buck Shot, Ruffneckz, Kyoto Protocol, Reza Salleh, Shawn Lee, Alexis Gan, Bus Co., An Honest Mistake, Nicky C (DJ), and the emcees for the night were Megan & Naqib from the 8TV’s Quickee.

Although it rains before the event started, there were almost 1 thousand people flocked in the event field with their raincoats on. The first show by Mizz Nina attracts more audiences and the quantity almost reaches 3 thousand. Follow by other performances…they were all great! Especially when it comes to the part where Shawn Lee got the crowd crazy with his beatboxing skills! Very talented young boy! Well done Shawn! The show went on..and ends with the dance floor music by Nicky C which was a bit too techno..but I think the crowd still enjoy the whole event…*phew~

All tickets were given out (about 4 thousand in total) and the lucky winner got his free I-phone for the lucky draw and a few got the hampers and other gifts from our sponsors! Congrats and thanks to our sponsors! Maxis being our main sponsor, Lipton, Fudgeez, Sony Music, Ayam Brand, Laurent Bleu and Dutch lady.

It was a successful event as we have received massive compliments from the people who came.

Random acts in Newcastle

Looking back at the good old days while we're studying in Newcastle, UK the city of life!! haha..
The Lipman Building's cafeteria is where we usually hang out. Love our classroom..love seeing the snow while having a light munch in the cafeteria before or after class..
The design and the equipments/furniture at our School of Social Sciences just too comfortable to hang out..not to mention studying :P Love my Uni!! They have loads of fun and crazy events in the University of Nortumbria.

In Newcastle..you go to University to study, make new friends and you can stay at home to be a nerd...else go on the streets to be a part of the street fighters! LOL.. love their culture.. they are free to be what they want..In our own country, people might think that we're crazy wearing like that on the streets..lol..Go to the Nortumberland street for shopping or catch some street performances like clowns, musicians, dancers etc..so much fun! you will never get bored walking on the street alone.

After school and some walk in the city, get home and cook yourself delicious food. The Morrison, Tesco, China Town, Marks&Spencer, Fenwick or Grainger market have it all! You can get all the ingredients and food easily at any stores. The places are not far from each other and everything is within a walking distance. Well, some might need 30 minutes walk to get there but who cares..the weather is just too good (compared to our own weather in Malaysia) but of course it will be a bit hard during winter LOL.
I don't really cook from where I belong but I learned to cook.. pretty well in Newcastle..lol.

Here are some of food that I've cooked which taste delicious! Especially the bak kut teh..haha. Yes...I mean it! Tested and proven by my flatmates [Left to right: Daniel & Nicole (from Taiwan), me and Luc (from France)] :P Maybe I should do more cooking back home..

At night, you take a walk at the Quay side..enjoy the night view by the river. Overlooking the Tyne bridge and Millennium bridge. It was marvellous with the cooling air..
Love Newcastle and those were the memories to be kept forever..

Jay Chou 周杰伦大马超时代世界巡回演唱会 The Era World Tour Concert LIVE in KL, Malaysia 2011. 5th March 2011 @ the Putra Indoor Stadium, KL.

Too excited..the moment I've been waiting for...when I reach the stadium, I realised that I brought my camera but forgotten to bring the battery..which I purposely make sure that it’s fully charged a night ago..lol..Luckily my cousin have not depart from home so she went to my house to get it for me. Phew…thank god..:P

Fans were lining up and medias all around the stadium..so happening..everyone just can’t wait to see Jay! After ticket checking, we entered the stadium and walked to our seats..quite disappointed at first because we paid RM300+ but the seats just seem too far although it’s right at the centre view of the stage.

They have some guests appearance before the concert starts but the response wasn’t as good. Even only Jay’s video got more attention and screams compared to the live guests appearance! LOL

About to start..can’t help…my mouth just can’t be controlled..start shouting and screaming LOL until Jay appears! He sing, dance and play the piano, guitar, nunchucks..super..cool!! 屌!

We were singing along, shouting and screaming throughout the concert..which is really tiring but we really enjoyed it. Well, after the whole show, the price is worth paying! But 1 comment, I think the guest appearance is a bit too many..all his fellow artiste under the same company. We don’t need many..1 big cast will do (just like other concerts he had in Taiwan or Hong Kong) or we just don’t need any so we can see more of Jay! Love and hate Jay! 又爱又恨LOL

Is a charity project that we organised to visit 25 special homes in conjunction with the Uni’s 25th anniversary. The event was held on 26th Feb 2011. The objective of this event is to reach out to the less fortunate and to bring joy and smile to their faces. Activities involved cleaning, teaching, giving out food, singing, performance etc

Although it’s just a day but we could see the smiling faces and we hope we could do it more often to light up their lives. Thanks to Hotlink for their in-kind sponsorship

Chinese New Year

I get to celebrate Chinese new Year with my family this year. The females all wore the chinese costume like cheongsam. Everyone looks good that day. Those who haven't married get to receive red packets (ang pau) from the seniors or married ones. Since I already started to work and earn my own money, I am very happy to have the chance to give ang pau to my parents. This is a blessing though :)
Love celebrating CNY at home because there're loads of nice food (especially the 'yee sang'). Also, we get to hang out with relatives and good friends.

Studio shooting

One day, we came across a bridal company who was doing promo on their studio package in a mall. The promotion was pretty attractive as the price was reasonable. Buy 2, get 1 free! So we signed up for the package because we have not tried studio shooting before. My mum, sis and I go for a try.

The photos were taken at Eternity Bridal shop. Their service was ok but I would highly recommend and compliment on the make up artist. She did a great job..in making us look beautiful! hehe...
The photographer whom is the owner of the shop was pretty good too. The photos are verywell captured and produced.. See for yourself.. :P

Christmas

Celebrating Christmas in Malaysia is totally different from celebrating in the UK. The very much missed was the snow...white Christmas...everything looks so pure. The city of London..packed with people and smiley faces..Christmas carols and songs..with colourful Christmas lightings everywhere you go. Big feast..with big turkey and Christmas cakes with family and friends. Spend the holidays skiing in Scotland...too much fun! Miss it so much!! Miss the shopping spree..during the Boxing day! Crazy sales here and there..with crazy shoppers like me!! LOL

I have not celebrated Christmas in Malaysia for the last 2 years. Although it's not same but at least I still have my jimuis to celebrate together. We had an early Christmas celebration at Euphoria, Ministry of Sound where they were having a beauty pageant event. There were beauties from around the world..where you can see them dancing and drinking like nobody's business which you don't usually get to see :P

On the Christmas day itself, we went to Delicious cafe for good food and gift exchange!!! hehe..

Skytrex-Big Thrill

Went for the Skytrex Adventure's Big Thrill on 11th December 2010.

This circuit consists of 26 thrilling challenges with various level of difficulty raging from easy to difficult. With some of the platforms reaching the height of 17 meters, feel the adrenaline while crossing the “Crazy Zig-Zag“ and flying on the “Sky-crawl“ at the Bermuda Triangle. Hold your breath while crossing “The Earthquake“, test your ability to leap at the “Happy Hopper“ and end the adventure with the grand finale, the 100 meters “Wild Revenge“ which will take you to the finishing platform at an exhilarating speed.

We went in a group of 10..so we only pay RM40 each. It took us 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the Big Thrill.

A-Mei aka AMIT Concert

AMIT Live In Genting on 4th December 2010

Asian pop diva A-Mei, whose Chinese name is Chang Hui Mei, unleashed her new persona with her Amit First World Tour Live. The concert is titled after her aboriginal name, Gulilai Amit.

We purposely went up to Genting Highlands for her show, which is touted to be different from the singer’s previous pop ventures, where she transformed herself into a hard-hitting rocker on stage, showing the darker and repressed side of her personality while showcasing her musical prowess that extends beyond pop ballads.

It was a great pleasure and fun singing together with Amei and my fellow ex-colleagues.

Halloween

It was 31st of October. We celebrated the Halloween at the Euphoria, Ministry of Sound, Sunway.Before MOS, we went to the for dinner at Sunway Pyramid.
It was fun..time for posing..Angel? Devil? Fairy? or Piggy? lol
We had 3 bottles of Chivas but we're not into drinking actually so we didn't manage to finish it.

There was a costume party that night and some dressed up in a funny way like the Mr Pumpkin (who won the price) and some are really scary though...

MUNICH Gastro Bierhaus & BBQ at home

Went to the MUNICH Gastro Bierhaus at IOI Boulevard Puchong. The atmosphere was alright but a bit too smoky..as many were smoking at the own table. Couldn't really enjoy our food..feels like poluted with smoke :P
We tried the seafood spaghetti, pork knuckle and the German sausages. It taste alright but it's not as good as the Steakhouse in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar. For better taste and worth of price, I would recommend the Steakhouse instead =)

We had a small gathering at home with some relatives and friends.
The purpose was actually to celebrate me coming back to Malaysia and completed my Masters in the UK.
I was a bit disappointed that my jimuis/friends which used to be very close to me did not turn up (none of them turn up). Yeah..pretty sad wasn't it? But luckily I have a bunch of ex-colleagues who 'give face'...came for the gathering and we had BBQ together.
We still have fun...BBQ..the dried meat (rou gan), sausages, seafood etc..

Poppy..the golden retriever

We were so happy that our uncle gave us a little golden retriever named Poppy.
Poppy's only 3 weeks old but he looks big! LOL

The kids love Poppy so much but the sad thing was..we only get to play with it for only a day. My dad didn't want a tame dog..he wants a guard house dog instead and uncle said this little Poppy needs to be kept at home which my dad doesn't like to have dogs running at home. It will be a hassle too..cleaning up mess. So we decided to give Poppy back to our uncle.

Ice-cream 4u Charity concert

The origins of the idea of "Ice-cream 4u Charity Concert" comes from both Lee Sin Jie and Jet. The funds through the Charity concert was raised for the kids. This was the 2nd time in the name of charity, love and for a worthy cause. This year it was held in the Stadium Badminton KL ( Cheras) on Oct 23 at 8.30pm.

Thank you very much to our friend who are so kind hearted who donated and gave us the RM500 ticket for admission. Was very happy to have this chance to see such meaningful concert where most of the local chinese artistes joining hands together for a good cause. I was sitting at the 2nd row from the stage where I could see the close up of the artistes.

This year's line-up artistes are Fish Leung, Jet, Victor Wong, A-Bin, A-Ming, Z-Chen, Jonathan Lee, Zheng Shu Qing, Nicholas Teo, Penny Tai, Yu Heng and many more..

Lee Sin Jie was not present on that day but the surprising moment was when the former Nian Shao (A-Bin & A-Ming) get on stage to sing together.

David & Daphne's wedding

It was 18th of Sep 2010. A lovely day where this couple, David & Daphne becomes husband and wife!

The ceremony was held in the Holy Family Church, Kajang. It was a touching and happy one. This is my first time attending a wedding ceremony in a church though :P Very much like those series I used to watch on TVB LOL.

All the jimuis were in white and after the ceremony, we have loads of funny photos taken especially during the most waited moment where the bride throws the bouquet of flower to the bunch of jimuis... Our friend, Ms Bee is quick enough to catch the flower!!!! It was really funny...if you get to see the video clip. LMAO!

After the church, few of the jimuis went to my house to get ready for the 2nd round...dinner in Puchong where we met other colleagues and friends..

Then we have 3rd round!! Clubbing at the Opera, Sunway. We get to meet up with our hot mama. Drank and danced too much..everyone was so 'weng-weng' but everyone had fun!!!

Fish Village Semenyih

The Fish Village is located in Semenyih.
Well, the food wasn't really that good but the ambience is pretty good for family outing. You get to do some fishing there. You just have to pay RM5 per person. Once you caught a fish, either you let it go or have it with a cost..count by the weight of the fish. Not sure about the price though because I'm not into fishing :P

Been there for a few times..as it's not too far from our home.

Mid Autumn - Snow skin mooncake

Mid autumn again! When we were young, this is the time when all the little ones gathered along and play with the lanterns and have a big feast! I remember burning the colourful paper lanterns which is now why they've created the batteries ones! HAHA. Lighting up dozens of candles and playing hide-n-seek in the garden area is fun with my cousins.. Well, things are different now. We have grown up with our own lifestyle and some had shifted to other places/countries. Those were the days to be missed and kept as childhood memory.

Right, since things had changed, we at home tried something different at home. First attempt in making mooncake..Yes! it's snow skin mooncake.

Ingredients - For the snow skin

115 Hong Kong Flour (steam for 15 mintues, leave to cool)

115 fried glutinous rice flour

210g icing sugar

1 tablespoon shortening

5 tablespoons cold water*

1 teaspoon banana essence

2 tablesspoons Hong Kong Flour

Fillings (we bought the read-made ones from a bakery shop :P

All you need to do is just to flatten the snow skin dough and wrap around the fillings; insert it into the mooncake mould. (Remember to put some rice flour on the mould so that the mooncake can be easily knocked/removed from the mould).

It's that easy!

Even my little niece knows how to do it! =)
Anyway, this was 1 yr ago..will try it out again if we've got the time this year round :)

Farewell to Newcastle and my friends

It was really sad for having to leave Newcastle again..

Although I miss home and my family back in Malaysia, I feel so miserable.

Time really passed so quickly..I'm done with my Masters and I am about to go back for good.

Looking back at the photos that I've took during my stay in the UK, I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to study in the UK for the second time. I've learned and experienced different things and lessons in life that I have never imagined. I've made it through..found new inspiration and new faces and colours of life. I've visited places and I've done so many things that not many will have this kind of chance or time to do so. I thank my parents for that. I love them..and I love the UK too. I will always miss Newcastle and all the friends that I've made, people that I've met who directly or indirectly made an impact to my life and to who am I now.

Thank you all for what you have done and sincerely wish all of you well in your future undertakings. Hopefully one day we will meet again and have fun together! Till we meet again....

Summer in Paris..

The story unfolds...It was about my trip to Paris..Couldn't believe this..

All the way from Newcastle upon Tyne down to London. From London to Paris by the Eurostar alone.

Phew~ just a short 2 hours, I have reached Paris..the city of fashion, luxury & romance. Paris was ranked among the three most important and influential cities in the world, according to research published by the Financial Times. The Gare du Nord station is so big..and saw some securities/armies with their M16 walking around the station. Looks kinda scary and I could not find the main entrance where I am suppose to meet up with my cousin, Vickey who was there in for her Europe adventure. I walked in and out, up and down..finally I found the Visitor's Information Centre. English is not a problem for me but not for majority of the people there. Luckily they still understand what I'm asking for. Proceeded to the right entrance and bumped into my cousin! *Phew~~

And our Paris adventure starts from then.. stayed with my cousin in a comfortable hotel. It's not like a backpacking experience; more like an enjoyable trip..but I wouldn't say it's relaxing! Whenever we're not taking the public transport, we will walk! We walked about 7-10km per day! That's how we lose weight through this trip although we eat a lot! We eat whenever we smell or see food! LOL

People are interested in just about everything in Paris especially the food, fashion and culture. The food in Paris is known throughout the world for its unparalleled quality and taste. We had the well known paté (goose liver), bread and vinegar, and the escargots, French coffee, mussels, dessert, crepes etc............

Not to forget the shopping experience in Paris..too much to see and to buy..although most of them are luxury brands which they're famous on. Galeries Lafayette is really a shopping paradise! Located in the heart of Paris; world's leading department store graced by a neo-byzantine dome. Excluding the use of credit card, I spend almost all my Euros here! LOL Too much to see and buy!

The World Cup 2010 Football match (Spain vs Netherland). The crowd was massive and crazy..

After the match, we head to the Eiffle Tower. They were about to close because it's about 12am already. Luckily the queue wasn't too long. We went all the way up to the top of the tower. The view is spectacular!

We had the super long hotdogs to fill our hunger.

Go to Paris, head to Laduree which

was founded in 1862 to taste the epitome of

elegance and luxury.

It's a high class dessert shop in Paris.

The macarons are small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are the most famous creation of Ladurée.The story of the Ladurée macaron starts with Pierre Desfontaines, second cousin of Louis Ernest Ladurée, who at the beginning of the 20th century first thought of taking two macaron shells and joining them with a delicious ganache filling. Laduree macaroons comes packed in an array of boxes of your choice. Although the price of 1,50 Euro per macaron is pretty expensive but it's worth a try.

It was really an enjoyable experience!!!

Waiting for the Eurostar (from Paris back to London)

London is our last stop for shopping and more food!! LOL. We're almost broke after the Paris tour..but luckily we have a room to stay with our cousin in London...phew~

We reached Canary Wharf to meet up with our cousin..and up we go to the Mudchute..nice residential area. We took the Clippers boat to Westminster. A bit more expensive than taking the Underground but we have great view by boat

Various events were held in the city of London. Good weather and everyone was in good mood, happily dancing at the streets.. I wish our country can have these kind of healthy events too..

We had great time wandering around London. Something that everyone should go when visiting London! The well-known, 'HerMajesty's Theatre', London for the Phantom of the Opera. Awesome! Something that you cannot miss. Meet up with my Uni friend, Daniel who was in London at the same time.

We went to museums, SOHO, Bond Street, Liverpool Street and many more..and again...walked at least 5km a day.

We also went to Spital Tongue market for Oysters! The market is really good with some very special artwork and goods. Shall pay a visit if you have time!

Something that you can easily spot and see..the red double buses and the horse guards.

Had great food at the 'GUN' in London which is pretty near to the o2 Academy Arena. Really good food! We had razor clam, salmon, duck, ham and Pimm too! Pimm is a gin-based drink containing quinine and a secret mixture of herbs, mint & fruits.

Thanks to our cousin, Chris and Helina in London. Nice meeting 2 new friends too, Sayaka (from Japan) and David. We had a great time in London!

Went to the Hoppings in June which was recognised to be Europe's largest travelling fun fair. The Hoppings was held on the Town Moor in Newcastle upon Tyne. It has over 60 large rides and many more kids rides and stalls - everything from rollercoasters and funhouses to teacups and big wheels, fortune tellers and many food vans. What else when you go with a bunch of crazy friends?!! Wicked!!

Right, we're in Dublin!!!! Ireland!

Going around Dublin is easy for tourists like us..just take the hop-on, hop-off tours where they have a number of nice places worth visiting. It's pretty cheap too! You can drop of at Abbey theatre, bank of Ireland, Dublin castle, Dublin city hall, Dublin Zoo, General post office, Guinness storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, National Botanic Gardens, National Maritime museum, Trinity College, Phoenix park etc....Take note that most of the free entrance places like the museums are closed on Mondays.

Guinness Storehouse is one of the must visit place in Dublin. It is Dublin and Ireland's top tourist attraction. It was worth visiting though. It was opened in 2000, located in the heart of Guinness brewery in Dublin. At Guinness Storehouse, you'll discover all there is to know about the world's most famous beer. A dramatic story that begins 250 yeats ago and ends..where else - in the gravity bar with a complimwetary pint of black stuff. Gravity is the highest bar in Dublin where you can enjoy uninterrupted 360degree panaromic views across Dublin city and its hinterland.

Visited the Trinity College Dublin which looks very much similar to other colleges in England. Spacious.. The city of Dublin is very clean...easy commuting and the people are really friendly!

Irish coffee with liquer if 1 of the most thing to taste! It was really good.. very different from those coffee we have in Coffee bean, Costa, Starbucks etc.. The food there is also really good. Try those real Irish restaurants!

Kilmainham Gaol...historic prison

We have to sleep in the airport because of the early flight. It was really funny but unforgetable experience. LOL

Bournemouth and Boscombe, South England

Down to Bournemouth and Boscombe, South England..lovely town and beach but too bad it keeps raining..n'how, we it was still an enjoyable trip!
Stayed at the newly opened Lazy Shark hostel in Boscombe. Easy access, nice boss, clean room, trendy decor and comfy beds!! LOL (10-12June2010)

The Boscombe Pier was nominated as the best UK Pier for year 2010. It was too cold for swimming so just we breeze walk on the beach.

Jurassic Coast

Went to the stunningly beautiful Jurassic Coast (Dorset and East Devon Coast) England's First Natural World Heritage Site which represents 185 million years of earth history displaying superb Jurassic with older Triassic and younger Cretaceous rocks.
Highly recommended! The day tour we joined was great..our tour guide is very kind and professional too. you guys can go to Discover Dorset Tours at http://www.discoverdorset.co.uk/
It cost £28 for the 1 day tour which is pretty reasonable. They will take you to the Old Harry Rocks, starting point of the Jurassic Coast, take the Bramble Bush Vay Ferry across the Poole harbour and Brownsea Island. Drive through the Purbeck Hills to the Swanage.
Upon arrival in Durlston Country Park, walked half and hour to cliff top to have a spectacular view of Corfe Castle. Had our lunch near Corfe Castle then drove to the Isle of Purbeck to Kimmeridge Bay to hunt for fossils on the beach.

Look across to St Oswalds Bay with the imposing Man o’ War rocks before finally we visit the magnificent arch of Durdle Door etched from the limestone by the action of countless waves.

We made ur own sushi at home..pretty easy...
You just have to get ready the bamboo mat (to roll), sushi rice (prepare rice vinegar by heating it with sugar and salt until dissolved; rinse the rice in cold water and steam in a rice cooker), salmon, cucumber, crab stick or any other seafood you like to add on to your favourite (DIY), not to forget wasabi and Japanese soy sauce.

Although it does not look professional but the taste was good! Enjoyed the fun!

Short visit to Manchester on 29th May. Motive of going is to visit the Old Trafford Stadium. Yes! is the theatre of dreams of many..the Manchester United Football Club (MUFC). Old Trafford is an all seater football stadium in the Trafford borough of Greater Manchester, England, home of the Premier Leagus club Manchester United. Old Trafford has the second largest capacity of any English football stadium which can fit about 76 thousands spectators. Also the 11th largest in the Europe.
We went for the stadium and museum tour which cost £7.50 for student which is pretty reasonable as they will have a tour guide to bring us around from the heights of the North Stand to Sir Alex Ferguson’s pitch-side dugout spot, and the atmosphere soaked players’ dressing room.

Went to the War Museum then back to the city for high tea at Manchester's chinatown..dim sum and beef noodles.

Liverpool

A short trip to Liverpool on 28-29 May 2010. Was pretty tiring because we have to wake up at 5am as we took the early train down to Liverpool at 6.15am! Yeah, cheap fare. Reached around 10am. Checked in at Hatters Hostel which is pretty good. We booked the 3 bed room but they gave us a family bed room (1 double decker bed and 1 king size bed) with huge ensuite bathroom.

Visited the city after checked in.

Went to the Maritime Museum, Beatles Story, John Moore University, Albert Dock, Cavern Walks, St George's Hall, Liverpool Cathedral. Walked along the Cavern Walks, Liverpool's Chinatown.

After Bath, we went to Cardiff, the capital of Wales on 14-Apr-2010. Big city..named the 6th best shopping destination in the UK and Cardiff Bay as one of the Europe's most stylish waterfronts.
Went to the big attractions like Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Castle.

Had a great meal in Wales..lovely food with reasonable price.
Cardiff Bay is a must to visit.
Wales Millennium Centre is a performing arts and cultural venue.
Sayers Amusements presents the traditional Welsh Carousel on Pierhead. The world's only Welsh themed Carousel, complete with horses, dragon chariots and organ music.
You can take the Sightseeing bus with a reasonable price and drop off and hop on on the stops available. The interesting spots are Women's Art Associaiton, Norwegian Church, BayArt Galley, Butetown History Arts Centre, Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, Sayers Amusements, The Red Dragon Centre, Doctor Who Exhibition and Techniquest.

City of Bath, South West England

Went to the beautiful city of Bath ..one of the most beautiful places to visit, situated within the South West of England. It took us 5hours+ to reach Bath from Newcastle by train

Had our high tea at the famous Sally Lunn's refreshment house and museum. It was the oldest house in Bath. Today, they serve an intriguing daytime menu..(££) must taste the Sally Lunn's bun .
Stayed at YMCA Bath. Very clean and convenient. (£)

After checked in, we went for a walk in the city. Pass by Bath Abbey and Theatre Royal Bath, visited the Roman Baths; Pump Room and the Bath Fashion Museum (££). The Roman bathing establishment with its magnifecent Baths flourished in Aquae Sulis between the first and fifth centuries A.D. It was built around the natural hot spring which rises 47degree celcius
.
The Fashion Museum displays the fashions from 1963 to the present. We're allowed to try on reproduction corsets and crinolines in the interactive displays which looks quite funny on us..lol
Went to the world's finest crescent (Royal Crescent) one of the great set-piece masterpieces of European architecture, the most breathtaking feature. Be careful of the kids playing ball games..they aimed the balls at the tourists..i know..naughty people.

Had our dinner at a Thai restaurant (£££) on the first day. The dishes were pretty good but pretty expensive too.Never order the rice which cost us 2pounds for a small bowl!

First football match LIVE!

Have been staying in Newcastle for the second year but this is the first time I went to watch a football match LIVE! Newcastle vs Sheffield at St James Park Stadium that fits up to 40thousand people. The atmosphere was great! Everyone's spirit was so high!! dancing, singing, shouting...with their jerseys on!

I have mine on too! LOL.Newcastle United club! woohoo! It was a great experience.

A day trip to London's Monto Water Rats in Holborn with The Soviets and Reckless General Records. It took us 7 hours to reach London from Newcastle by bus! -_-" TIRED! I would rather take the train. We are a group of MA students from Northumbria University, NCL, UK. We organised a music gig (LOVE LIFE, LOVE MUSIC) to raise money for the Laura Dodds and Teenage Cancer Trust hoping to get as many people as possible to be involved in this event to help teenagers who are suffering from cancer. The event took place at the Cluny, Ouseburn at Newcastle, UK on 31st March 2010 from 7.30pm-12am.

Being away from home is when we learn to be independent...and try new things, new food! haha

We made the glutinous rice balls together. It is the Chinese tradition to have this dessert on Chinese New Year's eve but we do it on the 15th instead. The main purpose of this dessert is about family unity..in chinese the glutinuous rice ball is called 'tang yuen' so it sounds like 'tuan yuen' means unite together as a whole in happiness. We're not with our family but with friends which brings another meaning 'friendship'!

It was really fun! We put some fillings in the ball...like cane sugar, cheese, Gin (liquor), raisins etc..in all kind of shapes and use milk as the soup! hahaha kind weird but it was good!

After 4 years! I had my Chinese New Year in Newcastle again!

It was good. We went to Chinatown to celebrate. The dragon dance was really funny..the danc come before the drum! hahaha..the lion dance is very different too..well..but still the people here just love it! they find it interesting! haha..yeah but anyhow..at least we still get to celebrate it together!

It was a good day..we went out with a bunch of friends from different places..we have Taiwan, HongKong, France, British, Korea, Spain, Macau and me..Malaysia! Culture fuse! haha

it was really worrying because she went into her room and locked herself..we couldn't get her..and we went to the security to open her door to see if she's alright. Wonderful ending for 2009

A year had passed...There're too many wondeful things happened in 2009. My 2009 ended so beautifully and memorable.. Start with the end of first semester for my Masters then my bf came over to the UK for holiday. We went to many places together and had a wonderful time together. He arrived Newcastle which already covered in snow on 22-Dec-09 morning. I brought him around Newcastle and the next day to York. Took loads of pictures at Clifford's Tower, Shambles, York museum, Yorkminster, the city wall garden etc..

The holiday continues with some shopping and Christmas celebration. We celebrated Christmas and CH's surprised birthday at Yen Ling's lovely house in Durham. We had wonderful food and great laughter! Next day, Boxing day, we went to Metro Centre for more shopping and Imax movie-Avatar which was awesome! We then went to Quayside for Italian cuisine.

(Yen Ling, Ong, Jay, CH & me) We drove to Inverness, Scotland on 27th Dec..it was cold and icy along the way...but the scenery was marvellous! I haven't seen such scenery in real life..well at least now i did! hehe..It took use about 3hours to get to Edinburgh from Newcastle due the the snowy and icy road which caused the jam. From Edinburgh, we changed car to Inverness..straight to our Highlander Hotel. A quiet town but it's good for holiday though! We get our equiptment for Ski and had our dinner..after dinner we played cards in the room..we were laughing nonstop will all funny jokes and was warned by a lady next door..OOpss..haha we're just too noisy..hahaha paiseh..

The next day (28th Dec) we went up to the Cairngorm mountain for skiing lesson..the weather was so good and clear..We learn some basic skiing skills and we're quite clumsy though..haha but it's fun!

We went for another ski next day (29th Dec) but this time by our own..and the weather wasn't good today..it's very foggy and icy cold. It was -17.5 degree celcius that morning. We went up the skiing slope..where we're not encourage to as we're beginners..the slope was very narrow..our skills are not good enough..but we insist to try it out.. it was pretty scary though..my first attempt, i did ski down the hill but ended with my butt sliding down...hahahaha which was pretty hilarious..But for my second attempt, i tumble down the hill..which wasn't funny anymore cuz my equipments went flying off and i got few bruises already! haha..but the overall experience was fun! Luckily I'm safe! well, better have more practice really... :P

We went back to Newcastle on 30th Dec..the next day (31st Dec) we went down to London..pretty busy schedule! haha..woke up at 4am for 7am flight to London..stayed at Tavistock Hotel in Russell Square..then we went about London city for a walk and eat loads in China town! We went to the terror house in London..which was fun..haha..then we went to Leicester Square's funfair..straight to Westminster to countdown for New Year's fireworks display by the river bank. Waited from 8pm at Waterloo Bridge..freezing cold and hungry. Was fully packed..till the fireworks display (last for 9minutes). It started to snow after the fireworks. Was so cold and hungry that i can barely walk..crowded like sardin at the Waterloo station..we can't get into the station for underground to get home so we have no choice but to walk..across the river..using Westminster bridge cross Big Ben..to Victoria station..then Burger King save our soul..we send ou friend home at Zone 2..we then proceed home to Russel Square station but it was closed! damn..we have to stop at King's Cross and walked all the way back to Russel Square..we only reach our hotel at 5am!!! we didn't sleep for more than 24hours! it was really tiring! what a unforgetable New Year 2010! haha..

The first semester ended..faster than I can imagine..Our last class of the semester is on 4thDec..but 2 more assignments to hand in before Christmas..well..left one to hand in tomorrow now..hehe..hopefully all are good..

Had karaoke in 1 of the k'box chinese restaurant in Newcastle..damn expensive compared to Malaysia. It cost about 30pounds perperson! -_- but since it's once in a while..hmm oklo..

Went ice-skating at Whitley bay on the 6thDec..haven't skate for more than 10years..remember those good old days when we went skating at Mines shopping mall..before it close down. Was quite clumsy but luckily didn't fall..LOL

Had spicy 'malak' steamboat with flatmates in 11thDec at Little Asia in Chinatown. It was good..15pounds all you can eat..with prawns, fish belly, crabs, mussels, oysters, fat beef etc..but I ate too much till I had diarrhoea in the morning and I had terrible pain at the right hand side of my stomach..suspected was appendicitis so my flatmates accompanied to the hospital for check-up. Doctor said luckily it's not appendicitis..it's my intenstine cramped..nothing serious but need more rest and drink more water.. *phew~ i better not eat too spicy or eat too much lol..

Went to Birmingham the next day..to visit my cousin..the shopping mall, Bull Ring is great! They have Selfridges but not in Newcastle! Hai~ They have Hokkien mee, asam laksa and nasi lemak in their Chinatown but our Chinatown in Newcastle don't have! hai~ Stayed at Selly Oak..1 station next to University of Birmingham.
Went to Bicester Village on 15th...this is where i spend bulks!!! pokkai! can't spend anymore for Christmas.. :( the train from Bicester North was delayed therefore i missed the train from Birmingham back to Newcastle..was so rush..gotta buy a new ticket back to Newcastle and cost me so much for this trip! the train was delayed again before York transit back to newcastle..reach Newcastle around 1am!

Halloween 2009 in UK

Is Halloween again..in the UK..since the last time I celebrated in 2005? at the same place, Newcastle. Time flies~ but glad I had fun and feel young again! We started off around 9pm to the city centre, Monument. With did stunts and took loads of photos with wicked people in wicked costume.. then pass by Tiger Tiger, the most happening clubs in the city near the Gate. It was so crowded we can't find seat so we decided to go to our Student Union's Wiggle Halloween party. The netrance was free with costume on! The bir only cost gbp1.50 for a pint. Is much cheaper compared to the bars in the city. The music was awesome! and the people was cool..everyone is having a good time dancing and drinking and crazying..LOL.. we went home around 3am..so damn tired!

Woke up about 12pm then continue with some assignment work. Went to La Tasca (spanish cuisine) with friends at the Quayside for dinner. The food was good but i spend again!! Argh!! better start saving to avoid starving soon... LOL

Dry Slope Skiing...

(21-Oct-2009) Went for the dry slope skiing at Sunderland. Yeah..suppose to be dry but it was a rainy day so -_- It only cost us 4pounds (coach, equipments, lesson). Pretty tiring but we had so much fun! Luckily I still able to balance on the slippery slope..

Assignments! I can't believe I'm doing this again! Look at the crane of books on my desk... -_-" stressed! duh~~ hope to finish it well soon.. before i go crazy :P

Mid-Autumn Festival and Alnwick Castle again..

3rd Oct 2009. Another important festival without family members around..It was Mid-Autumn festival (Lunar calendar 八月十五) where family will usually gather for a reunion and have mooncakes, big meals, pamelo, pork slices etc..Everyone here miss home more especially when it comes to festival or special day like this. We spend time visiting Alnwick Castle. Yes! This is where the Harry Potter 1 was filmed..I was there 4 years back i think..It haven't change at all..pretty expensive travelling and visiting the castle. Train fare is about 7pounds and bus is about 5pounds and the entrance fee for student is 10pounds! It was so windy that day, we couldn't stand. Everyone gets really dizzy because of the wind.

Went to Egil's place for dinner and had some mooncakes brought all the way from China by Xiao Long. It doesn't taste too good but at least we all get some bite and we're celebrating the special festival together with whole bunch of friends without family around. We then play poker..i mean 'SNAP'..hand aches but still fun though. Quite warm but still miss home...hmm :)

Had a big surprise early morning today!! So touched!! My loved one suppose to go for business trip today and was checking in at the airport but... end up...it's a lie..it's just a plan. My sis called and sms saying that's something urgent so asked me to online asap. Mum, dad, nephew, niece, brother, sis-in-law, sis and suddenly he pop out!!! with a cake and sang birthday song...online LIVE! SURPRISED!!! and touched

Then went for the field trip to Discovery Museum and the city with tutor and classmates..all about culture and the development in the region. Back home and chatted with my cousin and beloved =)

Went to Egil's flat and waited for Jennifer for dinner in Chinatown. Had so much 'real food' lol..and thank you so much for the presents!

Home to prepare for my presentation tomorrow!

South Shields

Classes officially started this week..on 24th Sep..the class was pretty huge..more than 40 students. Mostly locals..kinda lost discussing about 'Culture'..but hopefully it will get better later :D Maybe I should do more readings...stop procrastinating!! :P

(26-Sep-09) A day trip to South Shield, South of Tyneside.. with Jennifer, Egil and Daniel C. The sun is good..sunny day again! love it... as if i do in Malaysia? haha..but the autumn is really good here..so added with the sun is just superb! the sunny days in Malaysia is different..just hot! :P

We took the Metro to the last stop. Walk around the Victorian garden and enjoy some good rides at the Amusement Park. Took loads of photos at the beach... then to the museum and some fish&chips! Have a great night at Egil's place (Lovaine flat) and the guys (Daniel T and Michael) prepared dinner for us...LOL Thank you!

Great North Run and Angel of the North

It was a sunny day on 20th September. There's this event called Great North Run where they have over 50 thousand participants/runners who join in the world's biggest half marathon from Newcastle to South Shield. We went for a walk at the Sunday market at the Quayside then walked acrossed the the river to the Sage through Millennium Bridge for a quick view on the run.. it was massive!

Later we waited for the bus 21/22 at Pilgrim Street to
visit the Angel of the North at Gateshead. I was here 3 years ago but it was winter back then..today is sunny!! love the color of the sky in contrast with the green grass...as you can see..it was lovely!

Busy August and Journey to Geordieland, Newcastle, UK

August till early Sep was a busy month for me in preparing the stuffs for my studies in the UK.. visa applications, packing, outings etc... I had a wonderful time with my love ones.. they know who they are =) Went to a few special places like Bagan Lalang and buffet at KL Tower. Awesome!

22-Aug Jon and Regina's wedding. The exNorthumbria people gather again :)

Depart from LCCT with my piggy by Air Asia X to Stansted, London on 8th Sep. The flight was damn boring! Luckily I get to chat with a student studying in London who are sitting next to me. Arrived 13 hours later.

Have a quick nap at Holiday Inn Express. After 9 hours, took the 1 hour flight with Easyjet to Newcastle. Arrived Newcastle around 8am on 9th Sep.
Waited for the Meet and Greet students. Met a few Hongkies and we were brought to the Ellison Building. I did not get my room so I have to settle up at the accommodation office. 1 of the gal witdrawn and moved out so the room is already empty but I can't understand why can't they just let me in..and I was asked to wait will end Sep to move in...that's ridiculous! Luckily I have a good friend there..so stayed at her cosy house for few days while looking for a place to stay for me. Pretty tiring and sad..with the long flight, travelling alone and without a place to stay..*sigh I have to sleep on airbag but luckily I have my piggy with me :)

On the 11th, I've got good news that I can move into QuayPoint but it's already 4.30pm, the office is closed so I can only move in on 12th. It was a 6 ensuite bedroom flat with shared kitchen and living room with Skytv. After everything settled, I met 2 of my flatmates (couple) from Taiwan. Others I haven't met but heard there're 2 from China (they messed up the kitchen badly), 1 had moved out and 1 Malaysian. I then went for enrolment at Campus East. Then shopping for my room! beddings etc..tiring...

Newcastle is about the same but Northumbria University has changed a lot though...

There're too much to write for the month of July..everything came so wretchedly, moony yet sweetly unforgettable.. days can be so murdy and vivacious at times.
Blogs supposed to be a place where we can shout out and share all our feelings but...there's always something that we should keep to ourselves. I feel really muzzy..I wanted to share and talk about it but.. finally decided not to. Well, as long as I am happy where and who I am now..that's more than enough. Just try to enjoy this moment as much as possible and I hope that all my loved ones can be happy as well. Why do I sound so profound? Haha..

"How many ten years is there in a life time?", and especially during the 20-30 age phase, it's the golden period where many people come out of school and step into the society.. until our Conventies Yr2000 leaver reunion..Wow! It's about a decade since we last see each other (some). We catch up at Pasta Zanmai, Mid Valley on 10th July 2009. We left school (Convent Kajang) in year 2000. Really happy to see the gals who make it for the night. They are: Sher Ai, Fui Theng, Siew Rong, Lee Mee, Yean Yean, Joanne, Catherine, Ley Sim, Mei Ling, Yook Ping and Ching Fong. We're all grown up and prettier...haha. Hope to see all again and hopefully more of the friends soon! Pls don't let me wait for another decade..haha

Went to Look Out Point on 4th July then Klang for seafood on 5th July.

Went for Ice Age 3 (3D) on 8th July then shopping on 9th July. 10th for Conventies gathering and 12th going for karaoke!! I love fully utilised days..haha

Broga Hill 27th June 09

We finally made it to Broga Hill. It's not that this was a challenging task but it's like a trend..seems like everyone is talking about Broga Hill lately..so we plan to go for a look..and of course with a bunch of good friends/excolleagues. We have to meet up at 5am and reached rabbit farm which is right opposite the hill.. We started to climb around 5.45am in the dawn. Everyone was well prepared with their torchlight, mosquito repellent and long sleeve shirt/jacket. It was quite tough for people who didn't work out for some time..'like me' LOL..after reaching the middle of the hill. It was pretty tiring and i was sweating like nobody's business! soaking wet! I didn't check the time when we reached the top of the hill..but the sun haven't rise..i think it's about 6.30am? There're lots of people on the hill already. All ready with their toy/pro-cams. We do not have those so just took some photos with our digicam.

Waited for the sunrise and we just stayed for an hour or two at the hill then we slide down the hill on our butt *joking.. For me, going down the hill is harder than going up and my toes hurt. We then have our breakfast (dim sum) at Kajang town. Everyone was pretty tired and hungry. Afterall, it was a great outing!

On the very same day..we went clubbing at Aristo.. gathering with some ex-colleagues. I think it's a newly opened at Zouk..the receptionist with her sarcastic attitude already pissed us off before entering. It wasn't good because the music just doesn't sound good to us. Furthermore, most of us are tired after the hill climb early dawn. They have this so called catwalk that day..modelling some brand's corset. It wasn't that good but at least we get to see something...LOL..We get bored later on..so we left before 2am and end up going to the 24hr OldTown in Cheras and back home around 4am.

What a day...woke up the next day around 11+am with muscle pain all over...luckily I do stretching everyday so it was ok after a while. Went for a tea with Theng then night went to Mid Valley for 'Transformers-The revenge of the Fallen'. It was a great movie.

Island Hopping-Perhentian,Redang and Lang Tengah

Was back from 3 days 2 nights Island Hopping at Perhentian, Redang and Lang Tengah. It was a last minute planning because my cousin will be going for National service very soon so we decided to go for a holiday together. We planned, confirmed and booked everything 5 days before we leave..thanks to Yen Mee who introduced Ah Han aka Wchoch (enthuse diver) to us. He settled everything (accommodation, food, boat and land transfer, snorkering package in 3 island, equipment etc) with reasonable cheap price. We only have to buy our air ticket to Kota Bharu airport. We depart to the airport around 6am to the LCCT airport on 13th June for flight at 7.40am. It took us only 40minutes to reach (15minutes ahead from actual estimated time) Kota Bharu airport. They had arranged a taxi driver to pick us up at the airport to Kuala Besut jetty. Didn't know the distance from airport to the jetty was so long...it took us about 1 and half hours! From jetty, we took the speedboat to our resort. We stayed at Fauna Chalet, Teluk Dalam Beach at Perhentian Besar. Not bad for budget stay but the mosquitos are big and annoying.

After lunch, We went snorkering at Perhentian Island. Famous for its Long Beach, Tiga Ruang, Teluk Pauh, Tanjung Genting, Shark Point and Air Berani. We're lucky to see the shark about 1.5m long, huge sea turtle, nemo and baby turtles too! There're more than 150 of them.

After snorkering and bitten by some little fishies, we went back to our chalet for some safety tips on our next adventure~~Diving! We went for discovery diving and the experience was awesome! the air tank is heavy but it's fine under the water. They added a 4kg weight on my waist which makes me sink and keep touching the ground underwater..and I need to keep pumping some air when I swim. The only thing that really bothers me was my contact lenses being too long underwater in the salted sea was bad but it gets well after that. It was all worth it! We're all tired on the very first day so we ate a lot for dinner LOL. We stroll along the beach and saw some blue sand..which they said they're actually one kind of prawn's eggs :)

The next day, we went snorkering again. This time to Redang Island. We went to the Long Beach where the rebuilt More More Tea Inn was. The delicate silky white sand and the crystal clear water was amazing! Snorkering around the whole little island at the beach was tiring but it was great to swim along with the baby sharks!

We then head to the Marine Park where we get to see huge eel and loads of colourful fish. Wanted to take some underwater photos with the fish so life jacket was taken off. Holding breathe was not hard but diving into the water was hard...I kept floating up by itself.. Even the diver finds it hard to pull me down..LOL. Maybe my body fat makes me float :P Swimming without the life jacket was cool..as you can swim easier and get close to the fish. We then proceed to Lang Tengah for more beautiful corals.

After the whole day of snorkering, we went back to our resort and start building sand castles..finally we build a sand cake for our cousin YungYung's 21st birthday. While we're busy building the sand thingy, the naughty little monkey came jumping and out of a sudden it grabs my leg and start bitting..damn..I was shocked and not quick enough to react..just screamed and tried to get rid of it but it grab me so tight..then a guy came and quickly kick it away. Lucky it was a small little monkey with it's teeth blunted. My leg was left with light scar and teeth mark. *phew~ That night we celebrated her birthday together with Wchoch's magic tricks and such a coincident that an actor (a bad guy named Spark) from the movie 'Mat Rempit' was there with us to play his guitar and sing. The funniest part was when my uncle went drunk dancing with Tony. They did some wicked moves which makes everyone laughed like mad LMAO.

We're suppose to go for jungle trekking the next morning but the weather is not too good and no guide for us so it was cancelled. Everyone were pretty tired so we just stroll by the beach and take more photos before we leave the wonderdul island. T_T We left the island with wonderful experience and I feel like going for Open Water and diving license soon..haha..if only I have enough time and $$ :P

It was 3 months ago since I last updated my blog. Well there are plenty of stuff we can do at home if not working..especially with all the cleaning and tidying my room but it's yet to be 100% dust-free. I gave up the cleaning but catching up some latest TVB series was what I did really. Oh ya and being my sis's part time driver to college and I'm getting bored going window-shopping after a few months. Why only window shopping? I'm tryin to save some money so that I can survive in ^^ soon... and I'm on diet..I don't wanna waste buying a new size later :P *as if I'll really slim down..I'm more than happy not gaining any weight :P

Wanna see something? Do you like jambu air? I think you can only find them in Asian countries. Their price are quite high in supermarkets. Guess what? We've jambu tree in our garden! Our jambu tree is not very big but the fruit itself is BIG..some can reach 4inches! They are so juicy, crunchy, and simply delicious! It's all my dad's effort for growing them. I really admires my dad. Besides golf, he's good in gardening too! Love you daddy!

Enjoying all these at home is good but sometimes if might be quite dangerous...nowadays. Crime increased since the economy crisis. Early April, there was a thief who actually climbed through our fence. We did suspect something was wrong...the dog was barking non-stop. The neighbour from the other side of the road actually saw some somebody climbed through our fence and informed us immediately. We're shocked so we locked all the doors. All the females and kids stay at home but my dad and brother went out with their golf stick and 'rotan' (bamboo sticks?) and try to search around the garden as the area is too big..they couldn't find where the thief hide. Suddenly we heard people shouting. The thief actually jumped over to our neighbour's house and broke into their kitchen already. Their 2 elder sons (very big size) caught the thief and tied him up. Called up the police. The thief threaten them saying that he has gun and one of his friend manage to escape was also armed. They searched his body but did not find any gun but a knife. We're just worried if it's true there's another armed man around so we waited for the police to come. Damn..we're getting tired..about 45minutes later only the police arrived..i wonder what takes them so long?! Kanasai..the police station is only 2 kilometres from our house! They just came and took the thief away then taking their guns and wonder around the garden and they couldn't find any suspect so off they go.. *sad.... we just have to be extra precautious going in and out now.

Look! This is my cousin's puppy! So cute!

Mothers' Day on 10th May this year, we had steamboat at home. There were a total of 5 mothers at home that day. My mum, 2 sisters in-law, amah and our maid. Looks/sounds simple but we're happy being together. It doesn't have to be only for Mothers Day. We should all appreciate every moment together...I love you mum!

Chinese New Year 2009 is over...Had a great one..but when it comes to February, everything doesn't seem so good.. company is not doing well..offering VSS for all staffs.. I'm not sure if this is good..but later on I found that this issue has brought me into serious consideration and decision making. I wanted to do something I would love doing...I need to change into a different area.. but I laid back and procrastinate. I'm worried that I will fall into the comfort zone whereby I already know that I'm not suitable for this job. This is the best time for me to break through. I must be determined on what I want now! Will wait for the results.....

We went to House Frankfurt on Valentines eve...highly recommended. The owner, Peter Jarl is too kind to offer us vodka and of course the food was good!

Received a bad news on Valentines day. My friend was involved in a serious accident on Valentines eve.. she is badly injured but her sis..... :( See, I don't want to talk about this but I feel ashame on the reckless lorry driver which fall asleep that causes the accident.. I seriously think that the lorry driver should be the one to be blame of. I know there's no point for blaming as it already happened but everyone should be responsible on what they do..like driving..please drive carefully.. Anyhow, I really hope she will recover soon...
Things are really unpredictable...we won't know what will happen.. that's why people who had experience pain or lost will advice to appreciate and treasure things that you have at the moment, especially the love ones but we tend to take them for granted. We all should start to learn what this really means..in fact me myself is still learning....

Chinese New Year 2009

Chinese New Year is still on but I have to start working on the 4th day…Yeah I know some have to work on 3rd day..I should be satisfied right? LOL but there’re not enough time for all the visiting, relaxing on the sofa watching special CNY programs on Astro, gambling, eating, sleeping and getting up late… so much to do..no mood to work yet..but back to reality..i gotta work! Think of those companies closing down 1 after another..I should be happy that I still have my job..and the work on hand..it means I’m still safe..hopefully -_-
Well.. this year’s CNY is more fun compared to last year because I get to meet up with my cousins back from the US (Wei Chuen, Wei Jean) and Aus (Chee) for holiday. Haven’t seen them for ages..we had a reunion luncheon.

Loads of gambling and eating..gosh…I hate this..will definitely gain weight in CNY.
Went visiting with all the old friends..ex-Convent mates.. We went to Annie, YuHeong, FuiTheng, mine, PeiLyn and Yean’s house for more snacks and gambling.. it’s really fun seeing all the friends again..it has been a long long time man..of course there are more that we wish to see..will definitely find a day to meet up again..

Yeah..and went to Seremban after work then next day to Malacca with Bee Chan, Eunice and Wei Suan! Overnight at Pei Sun's house for yee sang and mahjong..I also learned a new game 'Lami'? Haha..i'm really dumb at this man..I prefer mahjong..Next day morning we went to this shop for breakfast..famous for the 'Char siew' wantan mee..you have to wait..i mean 'wait as in 30minutes for a mee! But honestly speaking..the char siu is really good! Head to Malacca to meet up with Annie..we then go for the famous chicken rice ball and cendol. Stroll along Famosa for pictures..

Then dinner/snack at a small street behind shoplots..next to the drain..Yes drain! famous for its 'sotong(squid)+kangkung(i dunno what that vege call :P), grill taufu(beancurd), siham(bloody shell ) etc.. I don't know what's good about it..sitting on those small little chairs and the low tables where the dustbin is just right where you eat...hard to describe..at first i thought it was a hole for you to put the pot to boil food like we use to do for steamboat..but in fact it's a dustbin! Can you imagine that? so it's like you're eating in front of the dustbin..hahaha.. Along the street, you can see dog shit and they say sometimes rats will be playing hide and seek or marathon :þ but we had a great experience..at least we didn't 'lau sai' :P

Happy New Year! A new year, a new beginning. The first thing that I need to do is tidy up my room! I really mean it.. I started with my wardrobe..Phew.. can't believe I have so many bags and clothes that I haven't used/wear; some are still in those shopping bags with price tags on! *faint.. I think I don't need to buy new clothes for Chinese New Year. Gosh..I have about 10kg of clothes that I can't wear anymore..I'll either throw it or give away....Hmm..maybe I should start to go on diet..LOL I haven't finish tidying up my wardrobe but go on with my drawers and shelves...I messed up the whole room instead.. I found so many stuffs that I haven't seen for ages like those small little purse, hair ornaments, key chains, erasers (which I use to collect when I'm young) etc. Although they took up some space but I decided to keep them. After all the tidying (yet to finish), around 5pm, I've forgotten about my lunch so I just have a sweet potato to keep me going but I ended up checking on the cds that I had and listening to the old songs..singing along and what else? Here I am..blogging..My mum came knocking my door and urge me to get ready for dinner. So....ok.. i better rush for my shower and off I go for dinner! Tata!
